Jboss and the missing Red Hat Summit news

Perhaps the biggest story at Red Hat summit is the story that isn't: Red Hat allegedly had expected to use its annual cheerfest to announce the closing of the Jboss acquisition, but so far has failed to do so.

When Red Hat unveiled the acquisition last April, it said it was hoping for a May closing. Now the story is that those pesky lawyers are holding up the deal with their paperwork and due diligence.

For now it appears that there is no need for concern. Jboss chief executive Marc Fleury is attending the event and is even doing press interviews. But he hasn't made an appearance during any of the keynotes.

That should be cause for at least some concern.
